2010 Sponsorship Goals
$90,000 Sponsorship Goal
Our goal is to eliminate sponsorship levels and move towards an equal $6,000 participation from 15 different corporations. Following this new strategy will allow us to provide a greater amount of promotion and publicity for all our sponsors and avoid the typical “sponsorship differentiation” announcement.
We believe it will also lead to a stronger alliance between our corporate sponsors and our members, while allowing the NSHMBA Board to spend more time on strategic thinking.
Benefits and Value to Corporate Partners
*Corporations seeking to participate only in the National Conference and La Plaza de MN can still pay just the $2,500 La Plaza fee and be recognized as a La Plaza Sponsor.
HOW WILL MONEY BE USED?
New Memberships
The equivalent of three (3) corporate sponsorships will be used to purchase 360 new memberships to be provided at no cost to students and professionals that are “between” jobs. This will enable the Minneapolis chapter to reach our goal of 1,000 members in 2010 as well as provide our chapter with a greater pool of Hispanic talent.
($18,000)
Professional Development Seminars
The equivalent of four (4) corporate sponsorships will be applied towards two Professional Development Seminars. The sponsorship will go towards speaker fees, food, refreshments, signage and possibly space rental.
($24,000)
Marketing/Administration
The equivalent of two (2) corporate sponsorships will be applied towards our administrative and marketing budget. The contributions will be used to cover the costs of the MSP Chapter newsletter, marketing costs for La Plaza de MN at the conference, and all other costs associated with planning, marketing, and advertising events. ($12,000)
National Scholarships
The equivalent of two (2) corporate sponsorships will be applied towards the NSHMBA National Scholarship Fund on behalf of the MSP Chapter and our corporate sponsors. ($12,000)
Networking Functions
The equivalent of four (4) corporate sponsorships will be applied towards our social events budget. The contributions will be used to cover the costs of six bi-monthly social networking functions, our year-end celebration (Gala), and a VIP Networking event for the La Plaza sponsors at the National Conference.
($24,000)
