University of St. Thomas CommUNITY Series presentation
Location: O'Shaughnessy Education Center (OEC) Auditorium, University of St. Thomas main campus in St. Paul
Time: 5:30pm

The evening's featured speaker will be John Hope Bryant, author of the book Love Leadership: The New Way to Lead in a Fear-Based World and founder of the international anti-poverty organization, Operation Hope. Bryant, 45, was born in Los Angeles and was homeless for six months by the age of 18. In the wake of the Rodney King riots in 1992, he founded Operation Hope, the country's first nonprofit social investment banking organization. It now operates in 70 U.S. communities, Haiti and South Africa and has served more than a million individuals.
